Wildlife

All things great and small

We are always happy to accept injured wildlife and endeavour to what is in their best interests. Often we can treat injuries and get the animals to experienced rehabbers who can then release them when they are fit and healthy. Unfortunately, some injuries, that might be treatable in pets, mean that this is not feasible and euthanasia is the kindest option.

If you find a young animal or fledgling bird it may be best for it to stay put as the parents may be coming back and forth. Please call us for advice before you move any young wild animals.

Did you know?

Not all baby birds found out of the nest require medical treatment. Please contact us for advice before moving them or see the RSPCA guidance for more details here.

Do not try to raise wildlife if you are not experienced in their care, they will have much better survival chances with an experienced rehabilitation centre so seek advice asap.

We do not charge any fees for seeing wildlife.

We will always do our best to treat wildlife but certain injuries can mean that return to the wild will be impossible so treatment options are more limited than for a pet.
